- 2 onions sliced
- 1.5 cups orzo
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook until brown.
- Add chicken and brown all sides.
- Stir in orzo and thyme.
- Pour broth over the mixture.
- Bring liquid to a simmer.
- Cover the skillet and place it in the oven.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the cover and add cheese.
- Bake for 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
