Easy and delicious slice and bake cookies.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Divide dough into two logs and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice logs into 1/4 inch rounds.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Chill dough overnight for better flavor.
- Substitute chocolate chips with nuts if desired.
