Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk egg, buttermilk, oil, food coloring, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  6. Serve with cream cheese frosting on top.
