A delicious mashup of a Philly Cheesesteak and a Sloppy Joe. Ground beef, peppers, and onions in a savory gravy, topped with melted Provolone on a toasted bun.

- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Green Bell Pepper (diced)
- 1 Yellow Onion (diced)
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 6 slices Provolone Cheese
- 4 Brioche Buns
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Sauté diced onions and peppers in butter until soft. Remove from pan.
- Brown ground beef in the same skillet; drain fat.
- Return veggies to pan. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened into a gravy.
- Top with Provolone cheese, cover, and melt.
- Serve on toasted brioche buns.
Notes
- Cheese: Provolone is classic, but Cheez Whiz or White American work well too.
- Bread: Toasting the buns is essential to prevent sogginess.
- Storage: Meat mixture keeps for 4 days in the fridge.
