Description

You make stuffed peppers with ground turkey, rice, and tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the onion and cook until soft.
  5. Stir in the rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill each pepper with the turkey mixture.
  7. Place peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and sprinkle cheese on top.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.

Notes

  • Use any color bell pepper.
  • Substitute brown rice for white rice.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for three days.
